Honeywell TPE331
The TPE331 originated in 1961 as a gas turbine (the “331”) to power helicopters. The TPE331 was Honeywell’s first turboprop engine. Honeywell’s TPE331 was developed for multiple applications within military, regional airline, agricultural, and general aviation aircraft, the series now includes 18 engine models and 106 configurations.
Today, TPE331 is one of the most reliable and proven turboprop engines in the world.
As of July 2016, more than 13,500 TPE331 engines have been delivered, logging more than 122 million hours of flight time.
Pilots flying TPE331-powered aircraft enjoy exceptional horsepower response and best-in-class fuel economy. Additional TPE331 benefits include quick throttle response for shorter take-offs, good power-to-weight ratio, and long maintenance intervals.
